Add equal parts of demerara sugar and water to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil until the sugar has dissolved.
Instructions

Place a large ice cube into a lowball glass

Add El Paseo Del Ron, demerara simple syrup and Angostura Bitter and stir until well-chilled
